This medical centre is located on a large corner block in Central Queensland. The design reflects the humid subtropical climate experienced in Central Queensland with generous veranda that wraps around the majority of the building, use of east and west shade, sufficient insulation all added to provide comfort for both the patients and staff. The design style was ultimately influenced by the Rockhampton town itself with many traditional Queenslander and Victorian style homes. The majority of the car spaces will have a metal awning roof over them to provide sun shade from the warm and humid climate of Central Queensland. The waiting space is naturally lit from the large highlight window located on the raked ceiling and daylight from the front glazed entrance will also light up the waiting area. Completed June 2022.
