This garden themed cafe and bar is located near Georges River Wharf in Georges Hall. The design is inspired by the suburb’s nature reserve and features natural colours and materials with a garden theme and a greenhouse effect courtesy of the semi glass roof. A series of bi-folding timber windows run along the front facade allowing the restaurant to opened up to nature and diners to casually sit on bar stools and reflect on the natural surroundings.
This project is located on an extremely difficult site with many challenges and constraints which we had to overcome from being flood affected to road widening issues, car parking shortage issues and site contamination due to the adjacent service station. Nonetheless, we are pleased that Council and TfNSW/RMS finally approved the application and saw the benefits of a well-designed community place seeking to blur the boundaries between indoors and out. Recently DA approved by City of Canterbury-Bankstown Council and currently under construction.
