This Seniors Living project comprises 9 x independent living units (ILUs) designed to the criteria of SEPP Seniors Living. The development comprise of 3 x two storeys units with 3 bedrooms and 6 x single storey units with 2 bedrooms on a 2,000 sqm block. Although designed to provide affordable and well designed housing that is comfortable and functional for older people, there is a possibility for NDIS SDA conversion so the units can cater for the needs of people with disability in the future. The project took 12 months in Fairfield City Council for DA approval as it was on a challenging block with disabled access issues being on a fairly steep site and it also had flora and fauna issues due to being located on a biodiversity land.
