A new purpose designed childcare centre in the Western Sydney suburb of Guildford catering for 74 children over 2 storeys with basement carparking approved through the Local Planning Panel The external design features modern contemporary stimulating forms and finishes appropriate for exploring young minds and capturing the excitement of the centre. This aesthetic continues to the inside with light, bright, open spaces. All the playrooms have direct connection with the outdoor play area which has been designed to encourage the children to run, jump, play, learn and discover the wild side of life by immersing themselves in an oasis of nature-play and adventure with balance logs, jungle gym, herb gardens, in-ground trampoline, tee pee, yarning circle and water play areas.
The DA assessment still took almost 10 months in Council despite a rather successful Pre-DA meeting and Council advising that “this was one of the easiest and quickest childcare centre meetings he has had”.
